I’ve come to realize that all of these moments and stories you’re getting ready to create are what make up a life—the “I-love-you’s,” the apologies, the mundane, the middle of the night talks, the car rides, etc.—and your wedding day is just Day One of your entire marriage. Don’t get me wrong, your wedding day is so important and will be such an incredible celebration, but it stands for so much more and can’t possibly fit inside of some tiny squares on social media.
On your wedding day, your tribe—the people that matter in your lives—will be there surrounding you and celebrating with you. And this is what makes your photos meaningful—the people that are in them. Both you and your partner, your grandpa or aunt in the back that might only be able to stay for 20 minutes, or that distant cousin. Whatever the case may be, these people have traveled from all over to be there with you. And these moments will never happen again!

I’m simply the one there to tell your story. I’m there to tell the truth. And to tell it in a way that reminds you of every scent, sound, and fleeting feeling you experienced on your wedding day. It’s my job to create images that stand the test of time, aren’t contrived or posed, and become heirlooms for future generations. The importance of these images will outlive me. They will go on to tell the story of your Day One. I do not take for granted the importance of my job. And telling these stories are what I can’t help but capture; it’s what I was built to do. Jason took our wedding photos and the entire experience was amazing. First, Jason is an extremely genuine and caring person which made it incredibly easy to work and feel comfortable with him. He worked with us up until the wedding in terms of timing and planning of photos, which put my mind at ease during the planning process. He spent the entire day (over 12 hours) with us the day of the wedding, from getting ready, to late into the night, he was there taking photos and capturing the wedding.
